We have some great news to share this month!


With your help, our 2011 Childhood Calendar has raised $5,630 for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta!


This is such a dear project to me, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for every one of you who signed up their child as a model, passed the word during out voting stages, voted for our child-of-the-month contestants, donated to the fundraiser, purchased or helped us sell these beautiful calendars!

We are now, finalizing the selection of the 2012 beneficiary, and I look forward to letting everyone know our choice soon! Thanks for everyone's suggestions and input via our Facebook outreach, you have suggested some great organizations!

You were there for us, as we reached out during this year's fundraiser -- we want to be there for you, and help a cause or organization dear to your heart.


So, for every session booked during the rest of February (good for any time in 2011), one HUNDRED dollars of the session fee will go to a school or non-profit of your choice.

Child portraits{atlanta outdoor preschool photography}

Here are the portraits of two more beautiful children photographed this Spring at a wonderful local preschool:

Growing fast {georgia outdoor portraits}

Last year when I photographed these kids, each of them was in a different age group. Now, the baby boy is a toddler and the toddler girls have grown into preschoolers.

They look so much bigger and wiser, and they have a more mature beauty about them. Time flies at this age, and I am happy if I can slow it down enough to capture some life slices for you to remember as the future turns into present and then past.

Remember to cherish every special day!

Diversely beautiful{atlanta child portraits}

At all the schools I have been photographing this Spring, I enjoyed seeing how much diversity there is among the students, and how many different types of cuteness I encounter.

These two little ladies are perfect examples:

I have a couple of more posts before I cover all the children whose parents chose to have them showcased on my blog (of course they did, look, again, how beautiful and fun they are!).

I said it before and I will say it again: the children I get to photograph are truly incredibly cute. More proof below:

This boy, whom I had the chance to photograph a few different times over the past couple of years, seems to me the very image of quintessential childhood beauty.

This blue-eyed girl is not only gorgeous but also so smart and such a joyful free spirit. She is one of my boy's best friends -- isn't he a lucky guy?

And the sweet serious girl here (who was laughing up a storm in the class picture) is one of the newer kids at this school, and definitely someone I am happy to know and whose beauty I look forward to capturing for years to come!

Watching them grow {atlanta kids photographer}

Probably the most amazing aspect of my work, on par with creating highly personal heirloom photo art for the families, is getting the chance to see the children grow, year after year. The first five-six years are times of amazing change (and the first three make an especially super-powered growing period), and it really is with awe and wonder that I witness the changes in each child I photograph. I am so thankful for the chance to be a part of their own personal history-making, by allowing their stages and ages be remembered in photographs and artful displays, and shared through generations.


Anyway, back to what I was going to post, some more school portraits. It's looking at these first two siblings' pictures that got me all reminiscing, as you've seen them on my site several times over the past couple of years, including in their school portraits from last year.

As for the dashing young man below, stay tuned for some stunning pictures from his own photoshoot, in a separate post coming soon!

Preschoolers in black and white {atlanta artistic school portraits}

A couple of other school pictures, this time in black and white. My package sent back to the families includes both color and black and white prints of the two best poses of each child.

How good looking are these two siblings? One is my daughter's classmate, the other one my son's :)

As you may know, a couple of times a year I offer child portraits to the students of a few private schools in the Atlanta area (if you'd like a similar style of images created at your child's school/preschool, let me know soon, I am taking only two additional schools for the upcoming school year).
