Today, early in the morning, at 4:40am, Isabella Rose was born. As their doula, I loved witnessing this labor of love, and Cassie's relentless strength and unfailing instincts.
Cassie and Tony chose to labor downtown, less than a mile away from the hospital. We spent several hours there together as Cassie's labor moved along. She walked the halls of the hotel, went up and down stairs, changing positions frequently in and out of bed, tub, on the ball.
We arrived at the hospital close to midnight and after another hour of walking and an hour of attempted rest, beautiful Isabella was born, sliding into this world, in all her beauty!
She weighed 7lbs 14 oz and measured 19.5in.
Here are a few images from this special VBAC birth:

Delightful little boy, wonderful light, loving the images!
{decatur toddler photography}
I loved meeting little Max and his mommy at a local park, and creating some images to celebrate what is possibly my favorite stage, toddlerhood :)

Between now and June 1st (my husband's birthday) I am opening the floor to you, for suggestions for Father's Day packages.
Enter by commenting below ON THIS BLOG POST (even though you may have read this via twitter or Facebook, it's the blog comments that count).
On June 1st at 11pm, I will pick a winner -- the winner gets the special package they suggested at no cost! Additionally four of those winning packages will be made available for purchase! The first four people claiming them once I announce the winner get them BUT they must have been among they people who commented and entered a suggestion.
Make these suggestions count!
Keep in mind to specify:
expiration date (Sept or earlier ideal)
session duration
included products (if any; examples: prints, storyboards, books, canvases, woodmounts, polished digital files)
This could be a Father's Day package, or even a more versatile one -- let me hear what your wishes are!
My regular prices and product offerings are here, as usual - keep those in mind so the packages contain savings while staying achievable.
Pass the word around and may the most 'win-win' sugestion WIN :)

Fairy tea party sneak peek
{atlanta themed photography}
A quick preview from this afternoon tea party fundraiser benefitting AMISEF. Thanks to all fairies (and parental companions) who participated, so much cuteness for a cause benefitting other children, what can be sweeter?
A special sprinkling of fairy dust for Diana, the organizer, who put a lot of effort in making sure the details were delightful and the girls had lots of fun! And the Oakfurst Community Garden is an enchanted venue indeed!

Details are here: Tea Party Benefit, May 23rd
I will provide some tutus and girly gear, and will be taking picures complementarily. Prints will be available for purchase and will partly benefit the AMISEF cause as well!
A few days remain, so reach out to Diana (see link above) to reserve your girl's spot!

Happy, happy day!
May this day and all others be happy for you!
I am deeply and joyfully grateful for each of the children I get to meet and photograph. It's my dearest wish that the artwork we create together carries its unique message and enduring meaning across generations.
Thank you, to all mothers who often carry the responsibility and joy of ensuring that their child's story gets told and remembered.
To be entrusted with part of this work is a privilege I cherish every day.
Delight in your children, today and always! Happy Mother's Day!
