A special boy is here! {atlanta birth support and photography}

Once again early this morning I was overwhelmed with joy and wonder at the arrival of a new baby boy!

Katie and Andy welcomed their son at 4:23am - weighing 8 lbs 13 oz, and measuring 20in, a squishy, delightful little boy, with a wise demeanor and nice round cheeks. 

Katie's labor was fast and relentless. She found her inner strength and was able to cope with the very close together contractions amazingly well. Theirs was another successful VBAC overseen by the one and only Doctor Tate.

One interesting aspect about this little one's birth: he was born in the caul (which was once believed to be a sign the child is destined for greatness :)).

It was an honor and joy to be your doula, guys - congratulations once again!

Two bundles of joy{labor support and photography}

This morning a little before and a little after 5am, two beautiful baby boys entered this world, and were welcomed with much love, joy and gratitude!

Twin A and twin B are both incredibly cute and strong, weighing at 5 lb 11oz and 5 lb 8oz respectively, both 18in long. Mom was amazing, breezing through most of the labor, and facing the last intense couple of hours with much grace and determination.

I am incredible grateful to have witnessed their birth, as well as their sister's last year. Happy birthday, boys, and Mazal Tov, Esther and Avi!

Baby Liam{atlanta birth support and photography}

A beautiful boy was born today, after a couple of days of intense, loving, hard work. His mother sailed through the always unpredictable (and always magical) birth journey with strength, grace and fierce determination, surrounded by love and support.

It was a joy and honor to witness Williams Everett's birth, as his mommies' doula!

"Liam" was born at 11:39am on August 29th, weighing 8 lbs 6oz, measuring 20.5 in, and being as perfect and delightful as everyone anticipated!

He is one lucky boy, entering a wonderful circle of love and warmth, on this beautiful day. Thank you for the chance to be there and witness the beginning of what I know will be a wonderful life journey for him, and for you all as a family!

Bundle of boy!{birth doula and photography Atlanta}

Abby and Eli welcomed their delightful baby boy today at 5:06pm. He weighed 5 lbs 11oz and measured 19in, and is simply perfect!

Abby was in early labor for a couple of days, and after I joined them at their home, she worked hard for 14 hours before moving to the hospital for another 7 hours of unmedicated labor.

She birthed their son with grace, strength and so much joy, I am honored to have witnessed his arrival as their doula!

Happy birth day, baby James!

Little James Robert entered the world this morning at 6:02am, weighing in at 7lb 4oz, and measuring 19.25in. His mommy began labor with gentle contractions, then bravely worked through a very intense latter part of her labor. She found her rhythm beautifully, kept talking to the baby, and moved through labor with strength and grace.

Congratulations, Mom, Dad, big sister and big brother! It was an absolute honor to be invited to be part of this unique time in your lives, as your doula!

And thanks to doctor Tate for enabling, guiding and supporting a VBAC birth once again!

Baby Henry is here!

Kristine and Robert welcomed baby Henry into the world in the early hours of the morning. He was born less than 2 hours since the first contraction, at 1:20am, weighing 6 lbs 5 oz and measuring 18.5 in.

He is delicious and perfect in every way, with light blond (even reddish) fine hair and an observant nature.

It was truly a privilege witnessing his amazing birth in my role as a doula, thank you for having me there guys!

Baby Charlie is here! {newborn photography atlanta}

I got to spend about 28 hours with a wonderful couple, over the past couple of days, witnessing the incredible journey of labor, birth and growth of a family.

Baby Charles Michael Jenkins was born today at 3:08pm, to Kim and Ryan. He weighs 7lbs 1 oz and measures 20.5 in.

His birth is a testament to the strength and determination of his mother, Kim, to bring him into this world in a non-surgical way. He was born by VBA2C, in the care of the always inspired and inspiring doc T.

Kim labored like an incredible warrior, over several days of prolongued early labor. She adjusted to labor as it went along, with all its wonder and unpredictibility, and always kept her strength and focus working towards what mattered most.
