A few quick announcements

Just a few quick notes (not much computer time these past few days):

1) the registration for the parent photography workshop is now closed. Look for another one in late Summer!

2) the casting call for the book of redhead portraits will end in a few weeks

3) I will soon be announcing a special model search for a charity calendar (http://www.childhoodcalendar.com), to be photographed in May and August - I am super excited to partner with what I feel is one of the most amazing not-for-profit children organizations in Atlanta! Email to preregister oana@shutterview.com

Awaiting Spring, a few more beautiful redhead children
{atlanta children photographer}

While we wait for this weather to get it right, neither rain nor chill were able to fully stop me and my redhead models from meeting and creating wonderful images.

This model search/casting call will wrap up at the end of March, and the sessions will complete by the end of April.

It's been such a joy meeting these children and their families, and I also loved the variety of locations around Atlanta where we met and took the pictures!

bad weather is relative
{outdoor portraits, midtown atlanta}

I am proud of us all, me, my assistant Kristi, the parents and especially my 23 little friends who came to the park for fun and pictures today, in spite of the very moody and sometimes quite crisp weather.

We came out and did what we do best: play and take wonderful pictures. For a good cause, too!
Thanks, everyone!

Rain, rain, go away
{children photography atlanta}

We started our mini-sessions for this fundraiser this morning, with a few children who came to the park despite the rain; if you look carefully you can see it actively raining in several pictures - we still got some amazing images!

Happy Women's Day!

Growing up in a galaxy far, far away, we always celebrated women/moms on March 8th - so, Happy Day to all the ladies I know!

Continuing with personal Mondays, here is an image since my Mom's last visit almost 2 years ago. Three generations, mom, Mary and myself.

Newborns are amazing
{atlanta baby photographer}

A few images from a wonderful newborn session from last month.

Having a baby? Take a look at our V.I.B. Plan, which includes 5 sessions over 18 months at significantly discounted rates (on my website under work, Info, Investment).
A "Four Seasons Plan" option exists for older kids, with 4 sessions across two years. Contact me when you're ready to join! For the V.I.B. the ideal time is while still expecting, to make sure the newborn session gets reserved.

Back to this beautiful baby boy, with perfect skin and super strong body, look at him holding his head up at 14 days!

Party in style
{atlanta children parties}

My first Spotlight Friday blog entry is showcasing a high-end children's parties company: Posh Tot Events.

Locally owned and operated by the fabulous Jennifer Shields, the company creates and organizes child parties with impeccable taste and attention to detail. Their themes are highly customized to the wishes of their clients (children and moms alike) and each event is one-of-a-kind.

I had the pleasure of creating the photography for Posh Tot Events' spread in the CRAVE Atlanta guide released last November (see below), as well as photographing one of their recent birthday parties.

If you're looking for an outstanding, stylish event creator who will listen to your wishes and take them to incredibly delightful heights, look no further.

New special blog entries: personal Monday, spotlight Friday!

To vary a bit the pace of my blog posts, I will be striving to post something personal on Mondays: could be pictures of my family, little known facts about myself, or answers to questions my readers send in.

Email me any questions (or use the Suggestions tab to the right of the blog page) and I will address them as time allows!

Also, on Fridays, I will shift the spotlight to some of my favorite vendors, or to clients who have unique stories worth sharing. Stay tuned!

To begin, here is a picture from this past Fall, taken in our front yard. I like to say I remember every image I have taken, but I could not recall this one, just came across it as I was looking for something else entirely:
